With a history of over 600 years, Beitang is an ancient town that lies on Yangbei Street of Tianjin Binhai New Area and in the southwest of Rainbow Bridge. It has witnessed vicissitudes of China’s Ming and Qing Dynasties and survived today.
Here, you can ascend the tower to command distant sceneries and listen to water trickle under small bridges. In the refreshing wind, you can take a deep breath and smell delicate fragrance.
Outside the town is green vegetation. You can enjoy unique landscapes of North China.
Guanlan Academy is a must-see in Beitang.
At dusk, you can scale the tower and watch the sun go down.
In the evening, you can go around and experience “time travel” in twinkling lights.
The town is open all day, and you can visit it for free.
How to reach Beitang:
1.Take Bus 133, 459, 461, 462 or 520, get off at Rainbow Bridge Station, and walk 100 meters westwards.
2.Ride Tianjin-Bin Light Rail, get off at Donghai Road Station, and take any bus there.
3.Take Bus 456 at Tanggu Railway Station, and get off at Rainbow Bridge Station.
