Mr. A. F. Gilmore and his partner bought this land and set up two dairy farms.

Mr. A. F. Gilmore drilled wells to fetch water for his cows, but he surprisingly found oil.
1934: The Farmers Market was established.
In July 1934, Mr. A. F. Gilmore set up the original market, where a dozen farmers parked their trucks to sell their fresh produce.

By October 1934, the extremely popular Farmers Market among the citizens had its fixed location and also held a celebration: the first Fall Festival at Farmers Market!
1948: World famous
In 1948, the Clock Tower, the landmark of the Farmers Market, was built.
