Are you fed up with the sultry weather in Beijing? Are you fond of blue seas but afraid of getting a sunburn? If your answer is yes, then there is an ideal place for you - Blue Zoo Beijing.
As one of the biggest artificial sea worlds, Blue Zoo Beijing was built by China and New Zealand together. The zoo has the longest sightseeing tunnel in Beijing which means that visitors can have a good look at these beautiful creatures living under the sea.
After entering the door and go down stairs to the underground hall, you will be amazed by a flock of red fish. The numerous red fish playing inside “Walls” - glass fish tanks. Surrounded by these “walls” is an artificial beach which you can see shells scattered across the sand.
At Blue Zoo Beijing, you can not only also see sharks, turtles, jellyfish and other typical creatures living undersea but also rare species like the ray. It is hard to distinguish the gender of the ray for its have different genders as they grow.
Ticket: 110 RMB (Adult) 80 RMB (children under 12 years old and higher than 1 meter), free for children under 1 meter and people over 80 years old.
Transportation: Take Subway Line 2 to Chaoyangmen Station then walk to Blue Zoo Beijing, or take Bus No. 110, 113, 115, 118, 120, 403 to Gongrentiyuchang Stop
