Cannes elected Best Regional Destination 2017 at Luxury Travel Guide Global Awards

As a side event of the WTM (World Travel Market), one of the biggest tourism congresses worldwide, the Luxury Travel Guide attributed the Global Awards, during a ceremony which took place in London last Monday, with the professionals of the touristic industry.

Over the past year, The Luxury Travel Guide team has travelled extensively to find the most impressive destinations, hotels, restaurants, and has met the tour-operators and event companies to select the best of them. Attendees were competing with companies throughout not only Europe, but Asia, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas. Cannes pitted against five finalists regions among Beverly Hills, Cape Town, Kerala and West Iceland, in the “Best Touristic Destination of the Year 2017” category.

The jury formed by specialized journalists, tourism experts and the guide influencer-readers had selected cities and regions which prove actively their voluntarism in their touristic development. The award attributed to the city of Cannes reflects its dynamic and underlines the destination efforts to its international promotion.

Once again, Cannes is recognised by the international press as a must-see destination in the luxury sector and confirms the city’s choices and directions. A dynamic, innovative and concrete action recognised today on the international level.
