In history, the club has won six German football champions and the German Cup champion three times. In addition, in 1977 it defeated Belgian Anderlecht and won the first European Championship in the final of the European Winners’ Cup. After that, in 1983, it got the golden age of club, it beatJuventus from Italy and won the Champion of European Champions League. Hamburg got into the three Cup finals in Europe 5 times in history. In Germany, this achievement is next to the Grand Slam winner, Bayern Munich.

Volksparkstadion is the home court of Hamburg. It is one of the 12 venues that held the World Cup Final Week in 2006.
