The final route for the Fuzhou-Xiamen Passenger-dedicated Railway has been announced, and construction on the railway is expected to be launched this year.

With a designed speed of 350km/h, it will take about 50 minutes to travel the distance of 294.118 kilometers from Xiamen to Fuzhou.

It currently takes about two hours to travel from Xiamen to Fuzhou by bullet train. The passenger-dedicated railway will cut the current travel time in half.
