"Festival of Fire" Was Held in St. Petersburg

【Introduction】：On 7 and 8 January residents and guests of Saint Petersburg could see the light show, colorful fireworks, pyrotechnic show and Fire theater’s performances. All of them were included in the Festival of fire "Christmas Star " program.

On 7 and 8 January residents and guests of Saint Petersburg could see the light show, colorful fireworks, pyrotechnic show and Fire theater’s performances. All of them were included in the Festival of fire "Christmas Star" program.

Committee for Tourism Development of St. Petersburg was the organizer of the "Christmas Star". The festival was timed to Christmas and its symbol was the Bethlehem star. Festival was located near the Spit of Vasilievsky Island and along the University Embankment.

Vice-Governor Alexander Govorunov greeted guests of the Festival with a reminder that the Christmas holidays were celebrated widely and with a sparkle in the Great Emperor Peter’s time. And it is here, on the Spit of Vasilievsky Island, was a real theatre of fireworks.

As part of the festive show, on the building of the Old Saint Petersburg Stock Exchange were projected 3d-images accompanied by a laser show. In addition, the 12 best pyrotechnic teams of the city performed with their fiery shows. These same teams also provided the final part of the festival program, which was a spectacular firework.
