Uruguayans like to call others’ administrative or academic positions such as Mr. President or Mr. Doctor. Uruguayans will take cakes and wine to attend a dinner party. When going through a door in public, men will let ladies go first; to show the respect for them, ladies are served first at dinner. Taboos are almost the same as those in other European, American and Latin American countries, which, however, are not that important to the residents anymore that some people don’t mind them at all or even don’t know them.
