【Introduction】:The Kasbah of the Udayas is a kasbah in Rabat, Morocco, located at the mouth of the Bou Regreg river opposite Salé. It was built during the reign of the Almohads in the 12th century.

The Kasbah of the Udayas is a kasbah in Rabat, Morocco, located at the mouth of the Bou Regreg river opposite Salé.It was built during the reign of the Almohads in the 12th century.

The existing Kasbah of the Udayas has three parts opening to the outside. The first part is its inside garden; the garden was built in the 17th century by King Ishmael, it is a typical architect of Andalusian style, small, exquisite, elegant, refined and flourished with flowers. The second part is the Oudaya Museum. The Museum is divided into two galleries; one displays ancient musical instruments and other items of jewelry, the other displays ancient national costumes, including the Berbers, Saharans, Morocco Jewish clothing, ancient copper and earthenware vessels. The third part is the high altitude platform which is the remains of ancient high altitude market. Standing on the platform, you can enjoy the whole view of the Bou Regreg River estuary, Rabat’s ancient port and Rabat’s sister city - Sallee city.

Kasbah of the Udayas retains Berber houses and residential streets; it has similar blue and white streets and buildings as the Chefchaouene. The coastal fortress mole corner cafe is for tourists so they can rest and enjoy the scenery. Moore Café at a corner near to the ocean is a place for tourists to relax and enjoy the beautiful view.
