【Introduction】：Wat Arun or "Temple of Dawn " is a Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand, on the Thonburi west bank of the Chao Phraya River.

Wat Arun (Thai: วัดอรุณราชวราราม ราชวรมหาวิหาร) or "Temple of Dawn" is a Buddhist temple in Bangkok, Thailand, on the Thonburi west bank of the Chao Phraya River. It is the largest Mahayana pagoda in Thailand, so it earn the reputation as "Thai Eiffel Tower of Bangkok". The temple was redecorated for the first time when King Taksin relocated the capital city from Ayutthaya to Thonburi in 1767, and built a palace near where the temple is. It is the most glorious cultural heritage, which makes Wat Arun the most visited attraction here. The main feature of Wat Arun is its central prang (Khmer-style tower) which is encrusted with colorful porcelain. It was engraved on the back of a 10 - baht coins. This is interpreted as a stupa-like pagoda encrusted with colored faience. The area of each layer is different, diminishing from the base to the top. The corners are surrounded by four smaller satellite pagodas. Those pagodas are decorated by seashells and bits of porcelain.
