Shangxiajiu Pedestrian Street is one of the three traditional and prosperous business centers, combining architectural culture, food culture, and folk customs of Lingnan. Located on the street are dozens of big and small restaurants, including time-honored Taotaoju, Guangzhou Restaurant, and snack shops that serve West Gwan delicacies.

Arcade buildings on this street stretch for about 1,000 meters from Dishifu Road to Shangjiu Road. Constructed during the Qing Dynasty, these buildings combine the architectural features of Southern Europe, styles of traditional architectures in West Gwan, and decorative styles of Manchuria.
