This magnificent sandstone structure building is consturcted in the Renaissance style and built in 1886-1897. This influential building is at the center of the whole city. Hamburg City Hall building is the seat of Hamburg Municipal Government and Parliament. Hamburg City Government Hall is one of the famous scenic spots in Hamburg with 647 rooms-six rooms more than Buckingham Palace in the United Kingdom. Its interior decoration style is new Renaissance, Baroque, and Classical style. When entering the city hall, visitors can see the Hall supported by 16 pillars and 64 portrait reliefs standing on the stone pillars to commemorate the celebrities in Hamburg.
