Former Site of Yunnan Military Academy is located at Cuihu West Road in Kunming, adjacent to Green Lake and Yunnan University. Tourists normally visit these three attractions together. Yunnan Military Academy was founded in 1909, known as one of the top three military academies in the very beginning. Many outstanding militarists and revolutionists once studies here, such as Zhu De and Ye Jianying.

The former site, a Chinese style and elegant yellow building, is well preserved and looks wonderful under the sunshine. Now the building is open as a museum, with a huge classroom (auditorium) and arsenal inside. In addition, there are long-term fixed exhibitions for 99 Uprising and National Protection Movement, so history fans shouldn’t miss this.
