【Introduction】：Baiyun Temple, also commonly known as Southern Shifang Temple, is located in Hongtugou which is located 8km southeast of Taiyuan urban area.

Baiyun Temple, also commonly known as Southern Shifang Temple, is located in Hongtugou which is located 8km southeast of Taiyuan urban area. It is famous for its immense scale, unique layout, and elegant environment, and is also listed as No. 1 among the multiple Shifang Temples in Taiyuan. It is one of the most well-known scenic spots all over Taiyuan. The stairs of the temple were constructed depending on the terrain of Hongtugou from high to low, and you will arrive at the Shanmen Palace.

The gold-filled characters of “Taiyun Temple” is suspended on the entrance of the palace, and “true prospect” and “light sleep” are written on the lintels of the left and right door. A pair of stone lions standing in front of the temple makes visitors feel deep and solemn. The Four Heavenly Kings are modeled at the four corners in the palace hall, the Maitreya Buddha sits in the center of the palace, and Skanda is arranged behind the Maitreya Buddha.
