Amsterdam Airport Schiphol is the main international airport in the Netherlands and the fifth-largest passenger airport in Europe. It is located about 20 kilometers away from Amsterdam, having different ninety routes to travel to and from Schiphol Airport.

The means of transportation from Schiphol Airport to Amsterdam city center

Airport bus (Connexxion)

The round-trip ticket of Connexxion’s airport bus is sold at the price of €10 (available for taking the airport bus twice), €5 for one-way ticket. The trip to the city center takes about 30 minutes, with 15-minute intervals in B9 station.

Taxi

Taxi stands are located at the airport exit. It takes about half an hour to arrive at the city center, but it also depends on the traffic situation. One-way trip costs about €40. It is not recommended to take taxis soliciting in the airport.

Train

Schiphol Airport train station is situated just below the airport. The train of Netherlands Railways (NS) can take tourists to Amsterdam Central Station, Amsterdam Zuid and other sites. Tickets can be purchased from the ticket office and the yellow self-service ticket machines in the airport. Ticket machines are also located at the baggage claim area and near the shopping center of Schiphol Airport.
