UnionPay International Cooperates With Lane Crawford in Launching Exclusive Privileges for UnionPay Premium Cards

UnionPay International announced today its cooperation with Lane Crawford, a renowned upmarket department store, in offering exclusive privileges for UnionPay platinum and diamond cards (card number starting with 62, collectively known as UnionPay premium cards) at the Lane Crawford physical stores and online flagship store. It is the first time that Lane Crawford offers long-term privileges for bankcards of a specific brand.

So far, more than 5.8 billion UnionPay cards have been issued globally, and there are a considerable number of UnionPay premium card holders. The 17 national banks in mainland China have all issued UnionPay premium cards, and markets like Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Russia and Central Asia have also issued many premium cards. UnionPay International is now accelerating the construction of premium card service platform, integrating multiple privileges offered by issuers and merchants, in order to improve card-using experiences.

UnionPay premium card holders already have access to several value-added services, including global concierge, global assistance, more than 850 airport VIP lounges around the world and airport pick-up service in more than 3,000 cities worldwide. Meanwhile, UnionPay International promotes global retailers, hotels and restaurants to expand short-term marketing campaigns into long-term card-using privileges. DFS duty free stores and hotel groups of Dusit, Mandarin Oriental and Maritim all offer exclusive privileges for UnionPay premium cards.

Lane Crawford is one of the most popular upmarket department stores among global customers. It has 9 physical stores in mainland China and Hong Kong, along with an online flagship store. From now to Dec. 31, 2017, UnionPay premium cardholders who are newly-registered Lane Crawford members may get double credit for their first purchase with UnionPay premium cards. They may also enjoy 10%-off at designated restaurants, free clothing alteration service, free parking (2 hours), beauty advice, and facial care for spending a certain amount. All these privileges are not limited by the level of their membership.
