At Mobike, we are committed to fostering a responsible community of users. As we are constantly improving our service, we are taking more and more steps to help people get the most out of our bikes, and to help cities get the most out of our scheme. In this spirit, we are upgrading the Mobike Score system to ensure that people who want to be part of this community can both have access to an effective smart bikeshare service, and play a part in making the Mobike experience as positive as it can be.

We also want our Mobike Score system to be as clear and as transparent as possible, so Mobikers across cities know exactly how their actions impact their score going up and down.

The Details:

Your Mobike Score affects how you’ll be charged when riding. Ride responsibly and considerately and your fares will stay low. Simple.

Every Mobiker has a score of 550 to start and can build up their score from there. If a user abuses the shared system, points will be lost. If it drops below 500, down to 301, the ride fare will double. Should your score drop all the way to 300 or lower, the fare will be adjusted to the penalty fare for your region. You can check the penalty fare for your country in the FAQ section of the website here.

As a company, we are keen to encourage the best cycling behaviour possible, so have also made the choice to reward our responsible users positively and increase their score when they play by the rules or go the extra mile to make the scheme better and more accessible to others.

Please take care of the bikes and use them in accordance with our user policy to avoid losing points and paying increased fares.

How to Keep your Mobike Score High:

The upgraded Mobike Score system is entirely based on the simple principle that when you use the system well your score goes up, if you don’t your score goes down.

Some of the ways your Mobike Score may be reduced are:

Reckless riding and disobeying traffic rules

Parking the bike in an inaccessible area, such as inside a gated community, in a basement, etc.

Using a personal lock to lock the bike

Vandalism of the bike, such as removing the bicycle seat, damaging the lock etc.

Other violations of Mobike terms of service such as parking the bike outside of the city’s operational area.

Some of the ways your Mobike Score may be maintained or increased are:

Parking considerately in recommended locations within the indicated geofencing area

Treating the bikes with respect and care

Parking considerately in areas of high use/where others frequently or easily can access the bikes - this way contributing to the whole Mobike Movement through safe and considerate use.

Reporting a broken bike in app - Just click the customer support icon in the bottom right of the app and let us know the issue and bike ID

Reporting a privately locked bike - If you see a bike that has an external lock on it, just click the customer support icon in the bottom right of the app and let us know the issue and bike ID

Reporting an inaccessibly parked bike - If you see a bike icon in app that appears to show a bike being kept indoors, you can report it by clicking the bike icon and then the customer service icon

Riding a bike that's been inactive for 120 hrs - Helping out our operation team and making bike more accessible in areas of high demand contributes to the Mobike system working well for everyone

The Details:

Mobike Score will affect the price of using Mobike services.

If your score is above 500, you will be able to make the most of Mobike lowest pricing. If it drops to 500 down to 301, the fare of a single ride will be doubled, and the reservation function will be suspended. If your score falls to 300 or lower, each ride will be charged at the penalty rate within your region, until your score rises above 300 again.

If you believe your score has been reduced incorrectly, you can submit an appeal by tapping the ‘Appeal’ button in the top right corner of the Mobike Score page in app.

As with every new feature or offer we implement, we are keen to make it as easy and as understandable as possible- that’s why we strongly encourage you to share feedback on the new system by emailing us at: support@mobike.com
