Luminato Festival is about art and creativity and it has become one of the preeminent arts festivals in North America. The festival is held for 10 days in June every year and it welcomes talented artists to perform and show their creativity.

Toronto International Film Festival is a renowned film festival on the world stage. It is a place where some world premieres, galas, schmoozes and parties are held.

Toronto Symphony Orchestra, founded in 1922, is one of Canada's foremost symphonic ensembles. It has developed an international presence and following through tours across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

Festival goers in Toronto will not be treated to above-mentioned festivals only. The North by Northeast Festival and the Digital Dreams Music Festival will also be held as part of the music events during festival season.

2015 marks the 21th birthday for the North by Northeast Festival. It is a music and arts festival held in June every year in Toronto. It has five themed events this year with music, film, interactive, comedy, and art. The Festival will feature a number of rap artists such as Tink and Kate Tempest.

The Digital Dreams Music Festival, Canada's largest electronic music festival, takes place on the shorelines of Toronto with one of North America's most iconic skylines in the background.

Toronto promotes its art development by means of implementing city regeneration projects and getting financial support from the city's local government and institutions.

Toronto's Queen St. West, with large numbers of shops and restaurants, has gradually been transforming into a cultural and creative hub for arts. The Ontario government has also provided funds worth 1.5 million CAD ($ 1.85 million) to the Luminato Festival in 2013.
