Nearly Half of Hainan’s 5A-Level Conference Hotels Are in Sanya

In order to promote the MICE (meetings, incentives, conferences, exhibitions) industry throughout Hainan island, and boost the development of infrastructure and MICE facilities to accommodate the needs of domestic and global MICE travelers, the Department of Commerce of Hainan Province recently published a list of the 108 top-rated conference hotels in Hainan.

According to the Department of Commerce, there are presently 54 hotels in Hainan that have been ranked as 5A-level conference hotels, 29 hotels rated as 4A-level conference hotels, and 25 hotels rated as 3A-level conference hotels.

As for their locations, thirty-five are in Haikou; thirty-two in Sanya; eight in Qionghai; six in Lingshui; six in Chengmai; six in Wenchang; four in Wanning; three in Danzhou; two in Baoting; two in Dongfang; one in Ledong; one in Changjiang; one in Lingao and one in Wuzhishan. Twenty-seven hotels have conference rooms of up to 1,000 square meters.

Sanya offers quality MICE facilities and resort activities. The city currently has more than 50 internationally acclaimed hotel chains located in Yalong Bay, Sanya Bay, Dadonghai, and Haitang Bay, and many other brands are still coming to Sanya.

Along with the Hainan’s new 30-day visa-free entry policy, a series of mega structures will help the city’s MICE market and establish Sanya as one of the world’s top MICE destinations.
