WTCF co-hosting the ITB Convention for the 4th time during ITB Berlin 2019

【Introduction】:From 6 -10 March 2019, the 53rd edition of ITB Berlin will be held in Germany’s capital Berlin. WTCF is co-hosting the ITB Convention for the 4th consecutive year.WTCF’s Deputy Secretary General Mr. Li Baochun will address the audience during the Opening Session of the ITB Convention on 6 March at 10:00.

From 6 -10 March 2019, the 53rd edition of ITB Berlin will be held in Germany’s capital Berlin. WTCF is co-hosting the ITB Convention for the 4th consecutive year.

ITB Berlin, the World’s Leading Travel Trade Show will gather all kinds tourism stakeholders along the value chain from over 180 countries. During the days of the fair, the ITB Convention will once again create a platform for discussing the latest trends and issues in the tourism sector. International experts, senior level representatives of destinations, the aviation industry, the hospitality sector, tour operators, technology providers, booking portals and media will make the event the think tank for the tourism industry. WTCF is proud co-host of ITB Convention for the 4th consecutive year.

WTCF’s Deputy Secretary General Mr. Li Baochun will address the audience during the Opening Session of the ITB Convention on 6 March at 10:00.

During the ITB Destination Days, WTCF will present its latest flagship publications on China Outbound Tourist Consumption and World Tourism Economic Trends:

Presentation of WTCF Publications on China Outbound Tourist Consumption and World Tourism Economic Trends

Speakers:

The presentation will be followed by panel discussion with participation of high level representatives which will discuss the topic of “How to Market Your Destination’s Products and Services to Chinese Outbound Tourists?”

Marketing activities can be divided into offline and online, the latter becoming more and more popular allowing for a higher ROI. But is offline marketing outdated and how a combination of both channels could look like? What is the most effective mix of putting your destinations on the map and effectively communicating its core values and attractions to potential Chinese visitors? Which are the latest channels for doing so? Is Wechat (902 million daily users) & Weibo all we need? How about new apps like Douyin (Tik Tok), most downloaded APP in H1 2018, and the so-called wang hongs (online celebrities)?
