Guangzhou International Travel Fair Kicks off, WTCF Attends the Fair and Proactively Promotes Its Members' Tourism Resources

The annual Guangzhou International Travel Fair (GITF) opened on Feb 21, 2019 at the China Import & Export Fair Complex.

Representing its members, WTCF attended the travel fair, distributed promotional materials to promote its members, and also extensively communicated and negotiated with the professionals of the industry to proactively promote the tourism resources of its city and institutional members. WTCF set up a booth at the travel fair venue, and numerous visitors came and went before its booth, including its city and institutional member exhibitors and other average visitors. Those that came to this year’s GITF include WTCF’s member cities such as Hong Kong, Macao, Fiji, Beijing, Sanya and others, and its institutional members such as All Nippon Airways, China Southern Airlines Co., Ltd., China Comfort Tourism Group Co., Ltd., and so on.

As one of the first city members of WTCF, Guangzhou has long been in close communication with WTCF.  As the earliest-founded large-scale tourism exhibition in China, the Guangzhou International Travel Fair, under the guidance of the Tourism Administration of Guangzhou Municipality, has grown into the “indicator of the tourism industry in southern China” after 26 years of development. The Guangzhou International Travel Fair 2019 opened five exhibition halls: International Travel & M.I.C.E, Domestic Travel, Local Travel Agency, Thematic Tourism, and Tourism Culture & Lifestyle. It is expected that nearly 40,000 professional visitors and more than 1,000 exhibitors will attend the travel fair, and its exhibition area will reach 36,000 square meters.
