Ikat cloth is the traditional dyed cloth of Bai people of Zhoucheng township, Dali city. Using dried indigo as the dye, local people tie the cloth into various patterns such as “the eight diagrams”, “butterfly”, “reflection of the three pagodas”, and “plum blossom”. The cloth is dipped into the dye over ten times.

Unfolding the tied cloth reveals patterns with blue background and white flowers. The flowers are unsophisticated and simple and the colors will not change for a long time. Ikat cloth can be used to make various tourism products such as clothes, indoor curtains, table cloth, hangings, commemorative bags, and commemorative towels.
