1. Chinese Baroque Blocks

Add: This area lies in Daowai District, ranging from Nanxun Street and Fengrun Street to Shengping Street, Diling Street and Yuhai Street, and from Jingyang Street to Shidao Street.

Traffic Routes: Take Bus No 1, 12, 76 or 109 to Jingyu Avenue.

Highlights: Chinese Baroque, a unique building style, looks like a European building from outside, and it is actually a traditional quadrangle courtyard inside. These unique buildings was built in the business areas in Jingyu Street, Toudao Street, Erdao Street, along with the emergence of local privately-owned industrial and commercial enterprises in Harbin.

2. Harbin Guandao

Add: New 18th Street, Daowai District

Traffic Routes: Take Bus No 12, 19, 54, 79, 107, 109, 202 or 204 to 20th Street of Daowai.

Tickets: ¥30 for adults, half price for students with IDs, and totally free for Harbin citizens, senior citizens above 70, the disabled, PLA officers and children under 1.2 meters.

Highlights: Harbin Guandao is also called Binjiang Guandao Yamen, namely the Daotaifu (the Governor’s Office). It was built in 33th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu, Qing Dynasty (1907 A.D.), and was rebuilt in 2006. Harbin Guandao used to be the highest administrative organization in Harbin. It was in charge of some railway affairs and tariff levying at first, then became the administrative center of the far North Qing Dynasty, being in charge of the political and financial affairs of Harbin and surrounding counties. Its affiliate office used to be at somewhere between Northern 18th Street and 19th Street, Daowai District, Harbin.
