Baigong Weir is located in Longquan Piedmont, about 13 km away from downtown Chengdu. It is an artificial lake with Longquan Mountain in the background.

Its water surface is 585 mu (390,000 square meters). In the weir there is an isolated island shaped like a vivipara and called “the Island of Vivipara.” The whole island is 56 mu.

It boasts flowers, fruits and trees with green layers; a winding path; three pavilions; two fishing terraces; a large-scale sculpture of Vivipara Fairy; and waterside surrounded by green bamboo.

The island is covered by all sorts of flowers, such as peach blossoms, osmanthus blossoms and plum blossoms, in accordance with the changing of the four seasons. It is also home to various forests and shrubs with flowers and trees, such as camphor trees, cotton rose and oleander.

Seen from a distance, the island looks like a huge green-shell vivipara floating on the surface of the water.

Adjacent to Vivipara Island in the water (about 80 meters of water surface), there is a particular peninsula called Pipa Mountain, which is full of fruits and golden clusters.

At the peninsula near the water, there are two hexagonal pavilions. There is also a wild plants restaurant with all kinds of cold drinks and snacks in the peninsula.
