Airfield Farm and Dairy is most definitely the life blood of the estate and is stocked with our famous herd of Jersey cows as well as hens, pigs, sheep and donkeys. Daily milkings take place in our milking parlour alongside seasonal demonstration in cheese and butter making.

The Overend Family Home contains a wonderful new interactive Heritage Experience where the many stories about our benefactors, Letitia and Naomi Overend, and their family, are brought back to life through an extraordinary collection of photographs, letters, toys, clothing and books. A brand new display garage is a showcase for the Overend’s vintage cars which include Letitia’s 1927 Rolls Royce, Naomi’s Austin Tickford and Lily’s Peugot Quadrilette.

Ornamental Gardens - Our refurbished walled garden, tea garden and greenhouse gardens retain all of the romance, elegance and charm of an 19th century gardens with a twist of farmstead planting in the sunken garden.

The New Kitchen Garden with its very own vineyard and espalier maze of Irish heritage apples is where we will share our passion for sowing, growing and cooking local, seasonal home grown food.

Overends Café is perfect place to enjoy a taste of Airfield on a plate with the freshest of our seasonal vegetables, herbs, eggs, fruit, dairy produce and meat combined with food by suppliers who share our values.

Airfield runs an extensive education programme involving schools throughout Dublin and an arts programme featuring concerts, exhibitions, workshops, visual arts and photography.

In addition to the thousands of trees planted recently and to increase the bio diversity of the area, the Airfild wet woodland will be opened to the public at the end of July adding to this exciting oasis of nature just ten minutes from Dublin city.
