At the heart of Revolutionary Boston and the Freedom Trail, the Old State House was at the center of ideas and events that sparked the American Revolution, from James Otis’ fiery speech railing against the Writs of Assistance to the infamous Boston Massacre which left five colonists dead. Now 300 years later, you too can experience the spirit of RevolutionaryBostonSM. Meet and interact with real 18th-century Bostonians, discover historic rooms filled with rare and unique objects from the American Revolution and journey back to a city divided and in peril with our dramatic programs and tours. All this and more in colonial America’s oldest, most historic and most beautiful public building.

Old State House Hours and Admission: Open daily 9 am to 5 pm, Memorial Day to Labor Day open till 6 pm. Closed New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Kids FREE, Adults $10, Seniors & Students $8.50.
