The Samsung Tel-Aviv Marathon is the top running event in Israel which welcomes runners from around the world.

The run starts in Charles Clore Park and takes runners through the streets of Tel-Aviv and along the city's sea coast. It is predicted that 35,000 runners will participate this year. The race is a multi-course race with a kids mini-marathon, 4.2K Friendship Run, 10K run, inline skating half marathon, 30K handcycle race for special needs participants, half marathon and a full marathon course. The race welcomes participants of all levels of ability including professional runners as well as those coming along for fun or to raise money for a cause. There are cash prizes for the first three places in each race. The top prize will be 15,000NIS for the full marathon winner.

Many events, parties and happenings have been planned so that the runners can enjoy the UNESCO city of Tel-Aviv both before and after the race itself. The Tel-Aviv Marathon website even advertises the marathon event as a "non-stop party." and the event will really be aimed at having a good time as well as a good run.
