Beit Ha'ir, renovated by the city, was the old City Hall in Tel Aviv-Yafo on Bialik Street, and is now a living display of the city's history. Beit Ha'ir has a new exhibition, which sums up the extensive collection of photos and stories featuring events, sites, and experiences of residents throughout the years, a project that was part of the centenary celebrations of the city. The main hall has a virtual display, including hundreds of documentary films and thousands of rare photos and documents that showcase major events in the early years of city life. At Beit Ha'ir you can also visit the Dizengoff House, the restored residence of Meir Dizengoff, first mayor of Tel Aviv-Yafo, which includes a permanent exhibition.
