Monterrey loves it’s music and there are a lot of places to enjoy many different types of music. Monterrey nightlife is lively, plentiful and features a lot diversity that should satisfy the desires of the most seasoned fun seekers.

The center of nightlife in Monterrey is definitely Barrio Antiguo, but there is plenty of action spread out over the rest of the city. Theatre, concerts with big name entertainers, discos, small coffee houses, Norteña music shows, salsa clubs, jazz and piano bars, extravagant rodeo shows all combine to provide a selection that should satisfy everybody.

Many of the restaurants in Monterrey feature live music, mariachi bands or other entertainment. Nightlife in Monterrey seems to wind down a bit earlier than most Mexican cities, as many of the clubs shut down around 2 to 3 am.
