The state folk ensemble "Trakia" was formed in 1974 and yet with its first performance on September 5th, 1974 it imposed its unique style of authenticity and creativity. The performances of the ensemble go out of the frames of the traditional concerts and show in a marvellous way the enourmous folklore treasure from all the ethnographic regions of Bulgaria.

The folk ensemble "Trakia" is a professional artistic troupe of folk dancers,singers and musicians. In their beautiful dynamic performances, the artists reproduce the magnificent variety of folk songs, dances, rituals and traditions. Their exceptionally fascinating and hypnotic stage impact is due to the syncretism of the ensemble`s performanse: songs, dances, melodies and rituals, all gracefully interweaving the poetic spirit, imagination and artistic talent.

"Trakia"`s superb professionalism has been formed over the past twenty years. In more than forty countries all over the world the ensemble`s art has risen all the audiences and critics to their feet in admiration.

Daniela Dzheneva is the chief artistic leader and choreograph of ensemble "Trakia" , Lyuben Dosev is the conductor of the orchestra, and Dimitar Hristov is the conductor of the choir. Eighty singers, dancers and musicians participate in that amazing ensemble.
