The Wuhan Zoo is one of China’s eight major zoos and is a national science and education base for teenagers. The zoo has an animal exhibition hall, a wild animal zoo, a terrestrial animal performance stadium, sea lion performance stadium, and Yingqu Park.

The zoo is the only large-scale, comprehensive zoo in Hubei province. Moshui Lake surrounds Wuhan Zoo. The lake is home to more than 4,000 animals of more than 400 species.

Transportation

1. Get off at the Zoo stop by Bus No 42, 79, 412, 582, 711, 808 or Tramway No. 7;

2. Get off at the Wuli Xincun stop by Bus No 516, 528, 531, 533, 535, 537, 541, 556, 562, 568, 579, 585, 596, 607, 705, 707, 710, 716 or 803.

Ticket: 20 yuan/person ($4), 15 yuan ($2.5) for children 1.2 to 1.4 meters, and free for the children under 1.2 meters.
