Yuantong Temple-The earliest Goddess of Mercy (Guan Yin) Temple in China,

Yuantong Temple was constructed during the Nanzhao times of the Tang Dynasty. It is one of the earliest Goddess of Mercy temples in China. Its fine colorful sculptures, solemn palace walls, and colored glaze tiles, altogether form a unique Buddhism temple. Yuantong Temple is a famous Buddhism culture base as well as a scenic site and the notable characteristic is the halls of three faction of Buddhism are all in a temple.

 

The Golden Palace-The biggest copper palace in China

Situated in the Mingfeng Mountain, the Golden Palace is a Taoism temple built in the 10th year of Emperor Kangxi’s reign (1671) during the Qing Dynasty. The Hall of Taihe wholly cast by copper, weighing about 250 tons, is the biggest reserved copper hall in China. It's also a national cultural relic with the reputation of “a paradise on earth”.

 

The World Horticulture Expo Garden

The World Horticulture Expo Garden is located in the northeastern suburbs of Kunming with an area of 218 hectares. The percentage of vegetation is approximately 90.19 percent. Inside you can find five big exhibition halls, seven theme gardens and three outdoor showplaces consisting of gardens, buildings and the latest horticulture technology in the world. The garden embodies the theme of “people and nature, live harmoniously”, and it's also a world first-class horticultural garden with Chinese style.
