Restaurant “Māja” uses mainly organic products from Latvian country farms. Here you can enjoy products that are characteristic of Latvia – fish, vegetables, mushrooms, meat and herbs prepared in a creative manner. The name of the restaurant means “House”, and the atmosphere here is really cosy!

As “Māja” is proud to offer dishes prepared from local products, the restaurant menu states the origin of each dish. For example, you can try a snack – thinly cut venison fillet served with zucchini and mushrooms, and the venison comes from Tārgale parish.

The kitchen of “Māja” is very creative. Their food is a combination of different products that promise gastronomic delight. For example, slow-braised streaked pork with sea salt roasted potatoes, mashed autumn vegetables and apple-buckthorn jam.

The kitchen is somewhat seasonal, so alongside the traditional menu offers you will also find additional season-specific products.

The restaurant area is bright. The interior is dominated by pastel shades. Decoration is mostly wood, which makes the atmosphere in the restaurant very cosy. In summer, the restaurant opens a terrace.

Restaurant “Māja” is located in one of the neatly renovated wooden houses of the Kalnciema street section. This area is the exact opposite of the Riga centre. The large yard with apple trees will make you feel at home and allow you to enjoy the charm of Pārdaugava and Āgenskalns.

It takes about 15 minutes by car or 20 minutes by public transport to get here from the City centre.
