Location

Café Pienene is located in the very heart of the Old Town of Riga – in the Rātslaukums Square. It will take a five minutes leisurely walk to get there from the Freedom Monument or the Latvian National Opera.

Atmosphere

Café-shop Pienene is established so that the interior represented the serene nature of Latvia as much as possible. Therefore also the atmosphere of the café is peaceful and harmonious – just like nature of Latvia. In the interior of the café, gentle pastel colors dominate allowing the visitors to leisurely enjoy dainties of Latvia. Goods of Latvian craftsmen can also be bought here; they are mainly ecologically clean products – cosmetics, paper produced from grass and hay, various herbal teas, vessels, design items etc.

Dainties

In the café Pienene, you can enjoy any of the many herbal teas gathered in meadows of Latvia. They are not only delicious and full of various aromas and flavors, but also healthy. With the tea you can try some of the dainties that can be bought in the café – candied fruit, jams etc.

We recommend

Definitely try any of the jams that have been made without sugar and give completely different senses of taste. Of course, try also herbal teas.
