The cafe Mierā is located in the creative block of Miera Street and offers the greatest variety imaginable of home-made crêpes, as well as wines produced in Latvia, made from locally grown berries and birch sap.

Location

The cafe Mierā has occupied a corner of the creative block of Miera Street — alongside many other cafes, nightclubs, creative workshops and souvenir shops. To get to the cafe Mierā, take tram No. 11 in the direction of Mežaparks to the stop of Brīvības Street, or, to get to know the centre of Riga, the distance may be walked. At a leisurely pace, one may arrive in about 25 minutes.

Interior and Atmosphere

As advertised, the cafe is full of peace. The cafe's owners would even say it is an insanely peaceful place. The cafe's harmonious atmosphere, lightly-coloured tables, large windows towards the street allow guests to enjoy their time, to taste one of the cakes or to try a wine.

Menu

The cafe Mierā is like a candy shop for the lovers of cakes, pastries, and sweets. The cafe's guests may try chocolates, marzipan, carrot, berry and other cakes, baked on the spot, filling the cafe with their sweet and delicious aroma. Of course, other sweets are available as well.

Wines may be tried in the cafe, local Latvian aronia berry or blackcurrant wines, as well as wine from birch sap, which is unique in its own way. Of course, a good cafe cannot exist without a good cognac, a wonderful additive to one of the cakes.
