Loshitsky park – one of the most picturesque parks in Minsk and favorite vacation spot of citizens. This park is famous for exuberant flora and remarkable chronicle. In the XIX century this place attracted all the elite of the city to spend their holidays there in their leisure time. The history of the park is bonded up with a cloak of different kinds of legends.

One of them is The legend of the "Princely bed".

The legend is connected with the period of feudal wars in the Middle Ages. According to legend, one of the Belarusian princes gone forth against his brother, stopped to spend the night on a hill not far from Minsk. Prince realized that under him springs began to break. This phenomenon has been construed as a sign that called to stop the bloodshed, and the prince turned his troops home. To commemorate this event, the place became known as Knyazhev bed (Lozhe), and then took on its present name - Loshitsa.
