【Introduction】:During the World Tourism Cities Federation Asia-Pacific Conference 2017, Mr. Wei Xiaoan, Chief Expert of WTCF Expert Committee, was interviewed by the media.
Q: What’s the relationship between the internet and tourism? How can we promote tourism with the assistance of the internet?
Mr. Wei Xiaoan: The internet and tourism are not separate, but they fused with each other. The internet is also a large platform, which covers lots of aspects. In my view, tourism can meet the standard of “Join, Reduce, and Rise” with the assistance of the internet. Join means joining the internet; Reduce means reducing traditional business models; and Rise means the rise of e-commerce. Currently, the world situation changes constantly, and so we need to keep pace with the times.
