Middle East Film and Comic Con 2018

The Middle East Film & Comic Con returns for its seventh edition from 5-7 April. It’s the largest pop culture event in the Middle East, and visitors will find a host of brands and celebrities from the worlds of film, television, comics, and more.

The line-up of guests include Karl Urban, who’s appeared in the Lord of the Rings films and Thor: Ragnarok. He’ll be joined by Karen Gillan, who’s starred in Doctor Who and the Guardians of the Galaxy films; Jason David Frank, who played the Green Ranger in Power Rangers; and Natalia Dyer, best known for playing Nancy Wheeler in Stranger Things. Fans will also be able to meet comic book artist Adam Kubert, cosp Alodia Gosiengfiao, voiceover artists Ray Chase, Robbie Daymond, and Max Mittleman, and others that are yet to be announced.

Netflix will be taking part in the event for the first time, and Roxy Cinemas will also be hosting a boutique cinema with Roxy Cineclub. Hubzero will bring the Hubzero Hangout for those looking to relax or have some fun, and Funko will be selling exclusive limited-edition figures. Sharjah- d comic book publisher Kalimat will be launching an Emirati graphic novel, and there will also be a host of international artists selling original artwork.

Marvel Studios will be marking 10 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with an exhibit, and there’ll be a new category in the cosplay contest – dress up as any Marvel character, and you could be in with a chance of winning $3000. The winners of the other categories in the Middle East’s largest cosplay contest can each win $800.
