WTCF to Release World Tourism Cities Development Report (2020)

Under the influence of COVID-19, it has become a common concern in the tourism industry to discuss the trend and strategy of world tourism revitalization and to share the experience of relevant countries in fighting the pandemic as well as insights in recovery and development of tourism. WTCF has extensively collected the needs of its members, carried out a special study on the development of world tourism cities, and launched this report, aiming to share the experience of reducing the pandemic impact on tourism and achieving a comprehensive recovery, and contribute to the sustainable development of the global tourism industry.

The Report maintains the basic structure of the annual development report and the continuity of basic data, and focuses on 40 major cities around the world by analyzing and summarizing the experience in their revitalization of tourism. In addition, the Report takes eight city members (Rome, Los Angeles, London, Paris, Barcelona, Beijing, Seoul and Dubai) as models for the revitalization of world tourism cities, and shares their experience in fighting the pandemic and achieving recovery in tourism.

Since its establishment in 2012, WTCF has been committed to the promotion of exchanges and cooperation between its members. Guided by the core vision of "Better City Life Through Tourism", WTCF has led to conduct multiple researches, and release a series of research results. With favorable increase in its attraction, service capacity, guidance and influence in the tourism industry, WTCF has been reputed as the fastest growing international tourism organization.
