Just call Oceania Cruises the Michael Jordan of cruise lines.

For the sixth-consecutive year the Miami-based luxury cruise line was recognized by luxury travel network Virtuoso as the Best Premium Cruise Line. Oceania received those top honors at an award ceremony Thursday in Las Vegas.

A subsidiary of Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings Ltd, Oceania was founded in 2002 and boasts some of the best food and beverage available on the high seas regardless of whether its the care or creativity that goes into it. In the past, the cruise line has been recognized for its one-of-a-kind meals.

Over the years, the cruise line has also become renowned for its long cruises like the 180-day World Cruise.

"We are honored and humbled to win this prestigious award for a sixth consecutive year," Oceania Cruises president and chief operating officer Jason Montague said in a statement.

"Virtuoso agencies entrust us to provide an exceptional cruise experience for their clients every day," added Montague. "To be awarded with Virtuoso’s highest recognition possible is a testament to the hard work and tremendous effort our entire team puts forward each and every day to deliver on that promise."

Oceania operates four Regatta Class ships and two Oceania Class vessels and sails to more than 365 ports around the world.

Each year, Virtuoso's Best of the Best Award winners are selected by its more than 390 member agencies and 11,400-plus travel advisors.
