New York City will welcome a record 60.3 million visitors by year's end (a 3% increase over 2015), surpassing the 60 million milestone for the first time, according to city's tourism organization, NYC & Company.

Last year, New York drew 58.5 million visitors.

This year, visitors from the United States will comprise a forecasted 47.6 million while travelers from international markets will comprise an estimated 12.7 million, both all-time highs for New York.

The city has reported a visitor increase for seven straight years, and NYC & Company is anticipating an eighth consecutive year of growth. New York expects to welcome approximately 61.8 million visitors in 2017 (48.7 million domestic and 13.1 million international).
