Residents of Uzbekistan start to fly to exotic countries more often

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Aviasales.uz experts have studied how demand for unusual destinations among Uzbeks has changed over the past year. According to the tourist search engine, travelers have become more interested in airline tickets to Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Jakarta.

While the average check for flights to foreign countries as a whole decreased by 4% compared to 2018, attention to exotic routes increased. So, for example, Uzbeks began to fly to Singapore six times more often.

However, experts have identified rare areas where flights from Uzbekistan have become more affordable. For example, Doha is one of the luxury destinations where demand increased by one and a half times in 2019, and the average check fell by 11% to six million soums for a round trip.

Specialists note a similar tendency to decrease the check on flights to Jakarta and Bahrain - by an average of 10% to 6.5 and 4.5 million soums, respectively. At the same time, demand there doubled.

The cost of flights on other exotic routes was only growing. So, tickets to Kuala Lumpur went up by 15% to 4.7 million soums. At the same time, the popularity of flights increased by one and a half times.

Interest in trips to Tokyo, Manila, Beirut, the Maldives and Bali increased by 30%. Flights cost tourists about five to seven million soums, which is 20% more expensive than a year earlier.

Experts also highlight Beirut as a popular destination this year among Uzbeks who were previously not at all interested in. The average price of air travel to Lebanon is 3.5 million soums.

However, in order not to miss the discounts on air tickets and buy them cheaper than the average cost, experts advise to go to the low price map. The map will help determine the most profitable route and the best time for departure.
