Sudan bans inter-city passenger travel amid coronavirus spread

【Introduction】:Sudan's government on Sunday decided to ban travel of passenger transport vehicles between the country's cities to stop the coronavirus spread, said Sudan's Sovereign Council in a statement.

KHARTOUM, April 12 (Xinhua) -- Sudan's government on Sunday decided to ban travel of passenger transport vehicles between the country's cities to stop the coronavirus spread, said Sudan's Sovereign Council in a statement.

Meanwhile, Sudan's Prime Minister Abdalla Hamdok issued an emergency order which punishes those who violate the isolation measures, impede medical treatment or assault the medical and health staff.

Sudan's Health Ministry has so far reported 19 confirmed COVID-19 infections including two death cases.
