June 10: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 9, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 3 new cases of confirmed infections (all are imported cases, 2 in Inner Mongolia autonomous region and 1 in Tianjin municipality), 1 new case of suspected infections (an imported case in Shanghai municipality), and no deaths. 6 patients were released from hospital after being cured. 527 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. The number of serious cases remained unchanged.

As of 24:00 on June 9, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,786 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,732 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 54 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on June 9, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,046 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 78,357 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 55 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases. So far, 747,680 people have been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 2,892 are now under medical observation.

On June 9, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 5 new asymptomatic cases (all are imported cases). 24 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 1 imported case) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 9, 155 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 47 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on June 9, 1,595 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,107 in Hong Kong (4 had been dead and 1,050 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 443 in Taiwan (7 had been dead and 431 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
