June 15: Daily briefing on novel coronavirus cases in China

On June 14, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 49 new cases of confirmed infections (10 imported cases, 4 in Sichuan province, 2 in Chongqing municipality, 2 in Shaanxi province, 1 in Shanghai municipality and 1 in Fujian province; 39 indigenous cases, 36 in Beijing municipality and 3 in Hebei province), 1 new case of suspected infections (an indigenous case in Sichuan), and no deaths. 1 patient was released from hospital after being cured. 392 people who had had close contact with infected patients were freed from medical observation. Serious cases increased by 1.

As of 24:00 on June 14, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps had reported 1,837 cases of imported confirmed infections and no deaths. In all, 1,745 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 92 confirmed cases (no cases in serious condition) and 2 suspected cases.

As of 24:00 on June 14, the National Health Commission had received reports of 83,181 confirmed cases and 4,634 deaths in 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, and in all 78,370 patients had been cured and discharged from hospital. There still remained 177 confirmed cases (including 2 cases in serious condition) and 3 suspected cases. 752,978 people had been identified as having had close contact with infected patients. 3,852 were still under medical observation.

On June 14, 31 provincial-level regions on the Chinese mainland as well as the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 18 new asymptomatic cases (including 11 imported cases). 9 asymptomatic cases were freed from medical observation (including 2 imported cases) and no asymptomatic cases became confirmed cases. As of 24:00 on June 14, 112 asymptomatic cases were still under medical observation (including 62 imported cases).

As of 24:00 on June 14, 1,597 confirmed infections had been reported in the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions and Taiwan province: 1,109 in Hong Kong (4 had died and 1,067 had been cured and discharged from hospital), 45 in Macao (all had been cured and discharged from hospital) and 443 in Taiwan (7 had died and 431 had been cured and discharged from hospital).
