【Introduction】:Phnom Penh Royal Palace, also known as the Palace of Four Arms Bay, was constructed from 1866-1870. Located in the east of Phnom Penh, facing the Four arms Bay which was intersection formed by the Mekong River, the Tonle Sap River.

Located in the east of Phnom Penh, facing the Four arms Bay which was intersection formed by the Mekong River, the Tonle Sap River. The overall style is akin to the typical architecture of Cambodia. The palace is rectangular, 435 meters long, 402 meters wide, the walls are outside the city, there are more than 20 buildings in total. This building is decorated in traditional Khmer style and religious color, mostly yellow and white. The yellow represents Buddhism, the white represents Brahmanism. So it looks like the golden roof. There is high steeple roof of the central palace buildings which can be described as having a beautiful shape and beautiful decoration. The palace is divided into two parts because the royal residence live in the north part, visitors cannot enter. You can visit the south part of silver palace. There are walls all around and a channel opening in the middle. In addition to the foreign tourists, many local Cambodian people also come here to worship. When you enter into the Coronation palace and silver hall, you need to take off your shoes and hat. Put the shoes on the shoe rack outside the door. It is strictly forbidden to take photos inside the palace and on the clean and spacious square lawn in front of the palace. When evening comes, the local residents, monks, as well as the tourists from all over the world enjoy the cool air, and the scene is very lively.

Opening time: 8:00-11:30; 14:00-17:00

PAY ATTENTION: Visitors are required to wear pants that fall between the ankles and knees, T-shirt and short sleeved shirt that are below the elbow are allowed in many palaces and temples. Everybody can take a long sleeved shirt, which can avoid sunshine also the clothes can meet the requirements. So kill two birds with one stone. You can consider the pants of cropped or thin trousers.
