ICBC has officially announced support for Mi Pay, enabling ICBC credit card holders to enjoy Mi Pay service on the latest MI mobile devices and make payment without card. The first mobile with Mi Pay function is the annual flagship model MIUI 5. Previously ICBC Cloud quick-pay credit card has already supported several prior models of MIUI smart phones.
ICBC has been closely following the trend of mobile payment innovation. With the issuance of the first HCE cloud quick-pay credit card in China in 2015, it also became one of the first issuers of cards supporting Apple Pay, Samsung Pay and Huawei Pay. The official support for Mi Pay will further expand "ICBC mobile phone credit card" family and realize ICBC’s full coverage of iphone, Samsung mobile phones and other Android system mobile phones. Mi Pay incorporates various innovative payment technologies including NFC, HCE, TSM and Token, and uses the all-terminal solution for security chips, fingerprint identification, TEE safe operating environments, which, combined with the payment token technology, can further protect the user's payment security.
In addition, Mi Pay enjoys various preferential policies ICBC provides to ICBC mobile credit card holders, such as free RMB 30 for any consumption of RMB 30, and annual fee exemption. Consumers buying MI products on ICBC's online e-commerce platform ICBC Mall can enjoy the preferential interest-free installment payment of up to 24 installments.
