Initiated by the Sanya Tourism Development Commission, the symposium on 2017 Sanya inbound tourism marketing was held in Sanya on January 17th and 18th.
The meeting analyzed the efforts made to boost Sanya’s inbound tourism in the past year, and introduced the working plan for 2017.
In 2016, the Sanya government launched a variety of promotional campaigns to boost its overseas tourist markets. Those efforts brought an increase in the number of inbound tourists. According to statistics, the number of inbound tourists to Sanya last year reached 448,900, a year-on-year increase of 25.31 percent.
In 2017, Sanya’s inbound tourism marketing will give priority to the construction of holistic tourism as well as the integration of tourism resources in the Greater Sanya Tourism Circle, diversifying to offer more quality tourism products including cruises, MICE tours, and off-season packages.
According to the working plan, a series of integrated strategies have been planned to further boost the sustainable development of Sanya inbound tourism this year. Tourism industry players across the city and in the Greater Sanya Tourism Circle are called upon to join hands to increase Sanya inbound tourism.
The city’s mid-to-high-end holistic tourism products — based on the concept of “4-hour, 8-hour and 12-hour” tourism circles — will be further developed to meet the diverse demands of inbound tourists.
