Police forces in Sanya and Moscow agreed to establish a way of sharing information on police services during a Russian police delegation’s visit to Sanya from February 28th to March 4th, 2017.

The five-member delegation was led by Colonel Lopukhov, Director of the Information Center at the Main Department of Internal Affairs of the city of Moscow (Moscow Police).

Sanya and Moscow will share police services and criminal information in Sanya and Moscow, as well as information checks on each other in the future.

The Russian delegation visited the Sanya Resident and Visitor Information Center to learn about tourist police operations in Sanya and watch performances by the Sanya SWAT unit.

The move is the latest cross-border cooperative development on the part of Sanya, after a delegation of Sanya tourist police patrolled together with their Russian counterparts on the streets of Moscow in August 2016. Their visit to the Russian capital was intended to exchange experience and best practices with local tourist police.

In October 2016, the tourist police forces in Sanya and Thailand formed a cooperative exchange relationship.
