【Introduction】:On 4-5 December 2019, the First International Scientific and Practical Symposium "Preservation of Cultural Heritage and its Contribution to the Development of Tourism " will be held in Samarkand.
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 4-5 December 2019, the First International Scientific and Practical Symposium "Preservation of Cultural Heritage and its Contribution to the Development of Tourism" will be held in Samarkand.
The event is held within the framework of the implementation of the resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On additional measures for the effective use and development of tourism potential of the Samarkand region”.
About 100 representatives of ministries, departments and khokimiyats of the Republic of Uzbekistan, academia, research and educational institutions, international organizations, specialists and experts in this field were invited to participate in the symposium.
The purpose of the event is to preserve and popularize the historical, architectural, archaeological and cultural heritage of Uzbekistan, in particular, Samarkand; establishing long-term cooperation with foreign experts in the field of reconstruction and restoration of tourist facilities, developing strategic proposals and recommendations for improving restoration work and further preserving the architectural heritage, developing and disseminating new forms of cultural tourism, etc.
The symposium will be held in two days. His program was composed of an international scientific and practical conference, which will address current issues on the preservation of cultural heritage and its contribution to the development of tourism, master classes from foreign experts. The experts-speakers will be national and foreign experts from the UK, Italy, Greece, France, Germany, India, France, Japan, China, as well as representatives of UNESCO and the World Bank in Uzbekistan.
Within the framework of the Symposium, an excursion program for the city of Samarkand will be organized for its participants, including a visit to the Samarkand Museum of the History and Culture of Art of the Peoples of Uzbekistan. During the forum, a constructive dialogue will take place between representatives of ministries and departments responsible for preserving the unique architectural heritage. In this context, it is important to exchange positive experience on existing initiatives, as well as discuss opportunities for implementing joint projects and plans aimed at preserving and restoring the architectural monuments of Samarkand.
In conclusion, the results will be summarized, as well as a collection of reports and theses of the symposium. The forum will be organized by the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for the Development of Tourism, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and the Institute for Tourism Development under the State Committee for Tourism.
